Now maybe we can get on with the repair of a nation

I am a registered independent. I’ve been a registered independent for 20 years. I have voted ever since I was old enough to. I vote the candidate not the party. I rely on media, like most of us. But I do not take one source as gospel. I don’t discuss politics much as I am not in the field professionally and it tends to flair up to arguments even in the friendliest conversation. But I thought this was amusing. It just so happened that every time I asked someone what they liked about Obama they all said the same thing. “He’s for change” I’d ask, “ okay what does that mean?” Most would respond that it was a change from Bush. When I would remind someone that Bush was not running for president, some would dismissive add we need a fresh face or something similar or it would become an over generalized attack on republicans. Then I found this little gem. Yes it is one sided (but so is everything film maker Michael Moore put together) But it was nice to see something like this after 2 years of the entire broadcast media creaming themselves over the Obamas. This IS NOT, in my opinion, a blast of how "stupid" Obama voters are, but IT IS a real testament to the absolute power of mass media

well well well is it worth it?

Blogging...
bringing the folks you've crossed paths with "up to speed" on your opinions, of recent and past events, updates of family and personal issues or those marvelously, seemingly endless "lists". whatever your reason for blogging and whether there is another living soul who wants to read it, once it is started it becomes increasingly difficult to stop. Not like a drug, mind you. I don't mean any kind of crack addition. ( at least not for me) I think the habit can be dropped by a few days away from the computer. But when you are bored, feel like getting something off your chest or just simply want to f*^% around. There are very few things that are better to do, while sitting at a desk, at any rate, than the stream of consciousness that is blogging. I will probably keep doing this than again maybe I wont.
